Today, while I was super bored (my little sister is at a birthday party) and leafing through an old crafts book, my mom opened my 25 Days e mail and guess what? I got an email message from Sara Schoenborn. She works for SKYPE !
HER TEAM HAS DECIDED TO DONATE A WEB CAMERA TO ME SO THAT I CAN SEE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SKYPEING ME! I AM LITERALLY JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND DANCING AROUND MY COMPUTER WHILE I WRITE!!!!!!!! SO AS YOU CAN READ I AM REALLY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom just emailed Mrs. Hernandez at 17 Chances to Help to see if she would like to Skype with me again. Is anyone else out there interested in doing this? I really enjoy blogging and Skyping about blogging and ways that kids can make a difference. This is really cool.

Hi Laura,
I think that is just so neat! It is another example of how technology can connect us to help make good things happen. I can’t wait to tell the 5th graders your news. They will be so excited to skype with you again and to see you this time!

Congrats on the new web cam! How very exciting indeed. I’m glad you got your wish. Next time you skype you’ll be able to see each other “face to face.” Very cool!

Hi Laura!
Remember me. I write for MommyMD. Well now I have my own website and blog: http://drcason.org and I’m getting back in touch with my favorite blogs.
ANYWAY- I have Skype. It’s a good way to stay in touch with family while we’re stationed here in Guam.
My kids would love to meet you in person. You inspired our new december tradition!
If you want you can email me and I’ll give you the info. and the best time to call. We’re on really different time zones here!
BTW Tell your mom that the donation went through- On the computer it noted a problem b/c of the military address but we got a note in snail mail that acknowledged it and was billed. 🙂

Hi Laura,
The students at my school in Melbourne, Australia would love to have you Skype into our classroom. Time differences between our countries is a bit of a problem. It may well be you would have to Skype in in the evening. If you are interested you can email me at jenny.luca1@gmail.com. We raise money for local and international charities at the end of our school year and your story would be inspirational for them.
Jenny Luca.
